On Saturday November 15, San Alfonso Retreat House will be honoring Fr. John McGowan, C.Ss.R. with the Spirit of San Alfonso Man for All Seasons Award. It is a fitting tribute for a Redemptorist who has devoted nearly 30 years of service here at San Alfonso. In his time here, Fr. McGowan has been a cherished member of the community, serving as Director for 6 years and many more as a member of the retreat team. His presence, his zeal, and his joy have been a constant in his 68 years as a Redemptorist and countless retreatants have had a positive experience because of his influence here.
